Seedbox Speed Test: Monitor Your Performance with LibreSpeed
On this page ▾
Testing Your Seedbox Speed
LibreSpeed is a self-hosted speed test tool that measures the actual connection speed between your computer and your seedbox — not your ISP speed, but the specific path between you and the seedbox datacenter.
Running a Speed Test
If LibreSpeed is installed on your seedbox:
- Open LibreSpeed from your seedbox dashboard or URL
- Click Start
- Note the download speed, upload speed, and latency
Understanding Results
- Download speed: How fast you can pull files FROM the seedbox (limited by your home internet)
- Upload speed: How fast you can push files TO the seedbox
- Latency: Round-trip time between you and the datacenter (lower is better)
If Speeds Are Low
- Try rerouting your seedbox to a different network backbone
- Use a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi
- Test at different times of day (peak vs off-peak)
- Use LFTP with segmented downloads to maximize throughput
