EvoSeedboxBot FAQ
On this page ▾
Does it cost anything?
No. EvoSeedboxBot is included with every EvoSeedbox plan. Install it from the client area under Apps → Automation.
Will my torrents stop seeding?
Not with the default hardlink action, nor with copy or symlink. Only move takes files away from rtorrent. See Hardlink, copy or move.
Does organising use my quota twice?
No. A hardlink is a second name for the same data; it counts once.
Do I need API keys?
No. TheMovieDB, OMDb, TVmaze, AniDB and OpenSubtitles search are included. You can enter your own OMDb key for your own quota, and TheTVDB needs your own subscription key.
Which media servers does it work with?
Plex, Jellyfin, Emby and Kodi (library refresh and NFO files) and the Nuplex Seedbox Library. One organised copy serves all of them.
I use Sonarr and Radarr. Do they conflict?
Not if you label their torrents and put the label in Ignore labels. EvoSeedboxBot then only organises what you add yourself.
Can it download subtitles?
Yes, from OpenSubtitles, with your own free account for downloads (20 a day; VIP 1000). Search needs no account.
Does it handle anime?
Yes — AniDB with absolute numbering and fansub-style names.
Can I undo a rename?
History → Revert, for every run.
Where do organised files go?
Into the output folder you choose; on first start it is set to your Plex library folders, otherwise downloads/media. Always inside your downloads folder.
Can I use my FileBot formats?
Yes, the bindings and methods have the same names. Groovy scripts are not supported.
What can it not do yet?
Groovy scripting, subtitle upload, music tagging with AcoustID, photo renaming, and there is no desktop app yet.
Something is not identified.
