Undoing a rename with History

Every apply on the Rename tab and every auto-organise run is recorded in History with all its files. One click puts things back.

Reverting a run

1. Open History. Runs are listed newest first with date, action, file count and the format used.
2. Click Revert on the run and confirm.

What revert does depends on the action that was used:

• hardlink, copy, symlink, duplicate, reflink — the organised name is removed; the original was never touched.
• move — the file moves back to where it came from.
• keeplink — the file moves back and the link left behind is removed.

Empty folders created by the run are pruned, including the movie.nfo / tvshow.nfo id files when they are all that is left. Reverted entries stay in the list, greyed out.

Running it again

Auto-organise remembers processed files so it does not redo them. Revert clears that memory for the reverted files; on the Downloads tab, ↺ next to a torrent does the same.

Reverting one file

On the command line, evoseedboxbot -revert "<renamed file>" reverts just that file from the most recent run that produced it.

Note: revert restores names and locations; it cannot restore a file you deleted yourself afterwards.
