Extracting rar and zip archives automatically

Releases that arrive as .rar volumes cannot be played or organised until they are unpacked. EvoSeedboxBot extracts them on demand, and auto-organise does it before identifying anything.

Extracting by hand

1. Rename tab → tick the archive or its folder.
2. Verify & Extract → Extract. Leave the output box empty to unpack next to the archive, or name a folder.
3. Multi-volume sets (.part1.rar … .partN.rar, .r00 … .r99, .7z.001 …) are recognised from the first volume; the others are never extracted twice.

Supported: rar (including RAR5), zip, 7z, tar, gz, bz2 and xz. Files that already exist are skipped, so re-running is safe.

In auto-organise

Every torrent is checked for archives first. Extracted files join the files to be organised. Two switches in Settings → Auto-organise:

• skip archives — leave them alone (for example if another tool unpacks them).
• delete archives after extract — remove the volumes once the content is out. Off by default: deleting them stops the torrent seeding those files.

An extract folder can be set so unpacked content lands outside the torrent folder.

Note: extraction writes a real copy, so it uses disk space — unlike the hardlinks used for renaming.
