Downloading subtitles automatically

Select videos on the Rename tab, open Subtitles, type the languages you want, and click Search for selected videos. EvoSeedboxBot finds subtitles for exactly your release and saves them next to the video as Name.en.srt, which every player and media server picks up.

Signing in once

Searching works without an account. Downloading uses your own free OpenSubtitles.com account: enter it in the fields above the table and click Sign in. Free accounts get 20 downloads a day, VIP 1000. The status line shows how many are left today.

How a match is chosen

1. By the file’s hash — this finds subtitles made for your exact release.
2. Otherwise by the identified title (IMDb/TMDb id, season and episode).
3. Otherwise by the name in the file.

Among the results it prefers exact-release matches, then non-machine-translated, non-hearing-impaired files with the most downloads. The table shows the chosen release and download count before you click Download.

Languages

Comma list: en, de, pt-br. Names work too (english, german). One file per language is saved; existing subtitles are not replaced.

Automatic subtitles

Settings → Auto-organise → Subtitles to fetch: list languages and every organised file gets them after the rename, while you are signed in.

Converting and viewing

Convert selected to .srt turns .sub, .ass, .ssa, .smi and .vtt files into SubRip. view next to a subtitle shows its lines.

Note: if you run Bazarr, keep using it for ongoing series; EvoSeedboxBot’s subtitle fetch is a one-time action per file, not a daemon.
