Understanding and Managing Your Seedbox Bandwidth
On this page ▾
What Is Seedbox Bandwidth?
Bandwidth (or transfer) is the total amount of data your seedbox uploads and downloads in a billing period. Some providers cap this; others offer unlimited.
Evoseedbox Bandwidth
All Evoseedbox plans include unlimited bandwidth — no caps on uploads or downloads. You never need to worry about hitting a limit.
How to Monitor Usage
Even with unlimited bandwidth, monitoring helps you understand your usage:
- Dashboard: Check your monthly transfer stats
- ruTorrent: Status bar shows total uploaded/downloaded
- vnStat (via SSH):
vnstat -mfor monthly stats
Bandwidth vs Speed
- Bandwidth: Total data transferred (measured in TB)
- Speed: Transfer rate (measured in Gbps)
- Analogy: Speed is how wide the pipe is. Bandwidth is how much water flows through it total.
