Renaming anime with absolute episode numbers

Anime releases number episodes across the whole show — One Piece 1071, Kimetsu no Yaiba 19 — and carry fansub names like [SubsPlease] Kimetsu no Yaiba - 19 (1080p) [ABCD1234].mkv. EvoSeedboxBot handles this with AniDB and the Absolute order.

Renaming anime by hand

1. Rename tab → select the files.
2. Preset Nuplex + Plex — Anime, or set Database to AniDB and Order to Absolute yourself.
3. Preview. [Erai-raws] Demon Slayer - Kimetsu no Yaiba - 03 becomes Anime/Kimetsu no Yaiba (2019)/Kimetsu no Yaiba 03 - Sabito and Makomo.mkv: the alias, the absolute number and the AniDB episode title are all resolved.

Why this layout

Anime/Name (Year)/Name 01 - Title is the fansub convention Plex, Jellyfin and the Nuplex library all parse. If you prefer seasons, use the TV preset with AniDB: files with S01E01 style names go through the same season/episode matching as any show.

In auto-organise

Files with absolute numbering are recognised as anime and sent to the Anime database and format automatically. To force it, map a label: anime=anime in Settings → Auto-organise → Label → type map, and label your anime torrents anime.

When a title is not found

AniDB’s index has every title and alias (romaji, English, Japanese), but very new shows can take a day to appear. Type the AniDB title in Force name, or switch Match to Opportunistic.

Note: episode lists come from AniDB and are rate-limited; the first lookup for a long show can take a few seconds.
