Yes, you will find that EvoSeedbox doesn’t have all the applications that are available in the market. There are many factors for not keeping an application:
It is not popular in our seedbox community #
Some applications are really not in-demand with our current set of users. But, we are ready to hear from you if you want us to add an application.
In case of such requests, please raise a ticket. Our Technical team will take note of your request.
It is no longer updated #
Some popular apps might be depreciated. This means that they are not available to function.
It is un-stable #
If an app is unstable and this is reported in the seedbox or any other community, we try not to add it in our seedbox as it can cause severe issues for our users.
Is not compatible with our Seedbox #
This rarely happens that an application is working and updated but not compatible with our seedbox. There is nothing much we can do about this case.
We have added the majority of the popular applications available. But if you want us to add an application of your choice, then please raise a ticket regarding this.
Why Some Apps Are Not Available #
Evoseedbox offers 100+ one-click installable apps, but you may notice that some applications you want are not listed. Here is why and what you can do about it.
Reasons an App May Not Be Available #
- Low demand: The app has not been requested by enough users to justify maintaining a Docker image
- Compatibility issues: Some applications conflict with the seedbox environment or require hardware (like a GPU) that is not available on shared plans
- Discontinued: The app is no longer maintained by its developers
- Security concerns: Some applications have known vulnerabilities that could affect shared hosting
How to Request an App #
If you need an app that is not available, you can request it through our support system. We regularly add new applications based on user demand. Popular requests are prioritized.
Alternative Solutions #
- Check if a similar app is already available (e.g., Jellyfin instead of Emby, Readarr instead of LazyLibrarian)
- For advanced users, ask support about SSH access to install custom applications
