EvoSeedbox is a seedbox-only provider in the Netherlands built on rTorrent and ruTorrent, with a Plex line and a one-click app catalogue. They suit different people. Where Whatbox is stronger
Storage per euro. This is the big one. Whatbox’s HDD plans give 3.90 TB for €14, 9.90 TB for €33 and 21.70 TB for €59 a month. Our largest plan is 8 TB for $60. If you are a long-term seeder who mainly needs space, Whatbox gives you a lot more terabytes for the money, and we will not pretend otherwise.
Torrent client choice. Whatbox lists rTorrent, Deluge, Transmission and qBittorrent. EvoSeedbox runs rTorrent with ruTorrent only. If a tracker or your own workflow calls for qBittorrent or Deluge, Whatbox fits and we do not.
Locations and NVMe. Whatbox offers servers in the Netherlands, the United States and Singapore, plus an NVMe line with very large upload allowances for heavy racing. All EvoSeedbox boxes are in the Netherlands.
Payment and currency options. Whatbox takes PayPal, cards, crypto, Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL, Bancontact and more, and bills in seven currencies.
Where EvoSeedbox is stronger
A low entry price. You can start with EvoSeedbox at $5 a month (Blitz, 150 GB, 2 TB upload) or $10 (Speed, 300 GB, 4 TB upload, full app suite). Whatbox’s smallest plan is €14. If you want a modest box for a few private trackers, we cost less to start.
Plex plans with the apps included. Our Box+Plex line runs from Spidey (2 TB, $15) to Thanos (8 TB, $60), with Plex streaming, unlimited downloads and the full app suite. Details are on the Plex seedbox page.
A wider one-click catalogue. Whatbox’s one-click list covers about fifteen apps. Ours, on the apps page, adds things like Emby, Lidarr, Readarr, Overseerr, Jellyseerr, Tautulli, NZBGet, Nextcloud, ownCloud, rclone, WireGuard and OpenVPN on top of the usual Sonarr, Radarr, Prowlarr, Bazarr, Jackett, SABnzbd, Syncthing and Autobrr. App Doctor watches installed apps and repairs common faults automatically.
A clear money-back guarantee. Cancel within 7 days of activation and we refund the first payment in full, no reason needed. Whatbox’s site does not state a general refund window; it says it prefers to earn your monthly payment rather than ask you to prepay.
Honest notes on our side
We are a smaller operation with one location. And as above, if raw storage is your priority, our pricing per terabyte is higher than Whatbox’s HDD line.
Which should you choose?
- Choose Whatbox for maximum HDD storage per euro, qBittorrent or Deluge, US or Singapore servers, or NVMe plans with huge upload.
- Choose EvoSeedbox for a cheap starter box, a Plex box with 2 to 8 TB and the *arr stack ready in one click, or a refund-backed first week.
