Test your connection against the EvoSeedbox network — the same datacenter infrastructure our seedboxes run on. No signup, no logging, no ads.
Test File Downloads
Prefer a raw download test? These files are served straight from our network — random data, so they can’t be compressed or cached along the way:
- 100 MB test file — quick check
- 1 GB test file — sustained-throughput check
Tip: test with a download manager or curl -o /dev/null to see the real rate without browser overhead.
What the Numbers Mean
- Download: how fast you can pull files from our network to your machine — the ceiling for FTP/SFTP transfers from a seedbox.
- Upload: mostly irrelevant for seedbox use — your seedbox does the uploading from the datacenter, not your home line.
- Ping/jitter: matters for interactive apps (web UIs, streaming seeks), not raw transfers.
Your result is bounded by your own ISP line, peering, and distance to the Netherlands. A seedbox exists precisely to break that dependency: torrents and Plex streams run at datacenter speed regardless of your home connection — you only pay your local speed when pulling files home. More on this in bandwidth explained and diagnosing slow speeds.
Testing From Your Seedbox
Already a customer? Every EvoSeedbox plan can run LibreSpeed as a one-click app — test your own box’s connection from any browser, or use the built-in network tools in your dashboard.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is my result lower than my ISP plan speed?
Long-haul international throughput is limited by peering and distance, not just your subscription. A single TCP stream rarely fills a fast line across continents — that’s normal, and it’s why download managers use multiple connections.
Does this test my seedbox speed?
No — it tests the path between your device and our network. Your seedbox’s own connectivity to the torrent swarm is independent of this and typically far faster. Install LibreSpeed on your seedbox to test from the server side.
Do you log test results?
No. The test runs in your browser against our LibreSpeed instance; we don’t store results or IPs from it.
What network is behind this?
The same Tier-1-connected infrastructure our seedbox plans run on, with 10 Gbps uplinks on the PleXtreme line.
