Prowlarr is the modern successor. Jackett proxies searches per indexer and you still configure each *arr app by hand; Prowlarr manages indexers centrally and syncs them to every app itself. Both are one-click installs here (see our Jackett seedbox page), but for a new setup we recommend Prowlarr.

Does Prowlarr download anything itself?

No. Prowlarr is a search and indexer-management layer. Grabs are handed to your torrent client or forwarded through Sonarr/Radarr, which handle quality decisions and organizing.
