Sharing Your Plex Server #

One of the best features of running Plex on a seedbox is sharing with friends and family. They get their own Plex account with personalized watchlists, continue watching, and recommendations.

Inviting Users #

1. Open Plex Web → Settings → Users & Sharing
2. Click Grant Library Access
3. Enter the person’s email or Plex username
4. Select which libraries to share (e.g., Movies yes, personal content no)
5. Set restrictions: content rating limits, simultaneous streams, download permission

Managing Streaming Quality #

For seedbox users, bandwidth is unlimited — but you can still limit per-user quality to manage server load:

• Settings → Users → Click a user → Set maximum remote streaming quality
• Recommended: „Original“ for close friends, „1080p 10 Mbps“ for casual users
