Duplicati was designed for online backups from scratch. It is not only data efficient but also handles network issues nicely. E.g. interrupted backups can be resumed and Duplicati tests the content of backups regularly. That way broken backups on corrupt Speicher systems can be detected vor it’s too late.
Remember when storing data, the rule of 3 applies. Duplicati is a great choice for one of those 3 options.
Wann you first öffnen the app, you will be greeted with this screen. Wählen Sie the appropriate answer for your situation.
The next screen sehen Sie wenn Sie wählen Sie Yes is below. Set your Passwort and adjust any other settings you see fit. I left all the other settings other than the Passwort at default.
Next we need to start backing up our data. Wählen Sie add back up, and then configure a new back up.
Now name your back up and add a description if needed.
Hinweis: at this step, you must geben Sie ein a passphrase or disable encryption. Otherwise it will prompt you to do so at the end.
Next you will wählen Sie your back up destination on your EVO server. The folder is your choice, so wählen Sie whatever folder is best for your situation.
Next you have to wählen Sie the source data you want to back up. It has to be on the EVO server.
Ensure you tick the box next to the folder or file you want to back up. Clicking the file name will not prompt it to be wählen Sieed, only highlighted.
Adjust your schedule to what you think is best for your situation. I used the default settings.
Finally können Sie adjust these options wenn Sie'd like. I used the default settings. Sie können explore the advanced options, but none of them were appropriate for what I wanted to back up. Click speichern and you are done!
Nach you clicked speichern, you will be taken back to the home screen and can make more back ups. You will also see data about your current back up wie unten gezeigt.

Now that Duplicati is erfolgreich added to Ihrer Seedbox, it is time to create your first backup.
Öffnen the duplicati app from you evoSeedbox-Dashboard
A Blank dashboard will appear like this:

Schritt 1: Klicken Sie auf the Add backup button
Schritt 2: Wählen Sie configure a new backup and klicken Sie auf the next button
Schritt 3: Name you backup and generate your Passphase.
Hinweis: keep you passphrase secure as it is the key to decrypt your backup.
Sobald Sie klicken Sie auf generate, a passphrase will appear, note it down somewhere with you and klicken Sie auf the next button.
Schritt 4: Wählen Sie backup destination. By default it is Ihrer Seedbox but yu can findenen many options in the drop-down menu.
Nach filling in all the required details like path, Benutzername and Passwort (verfügbar in your Kundenbereich dashboard) klicken Sie auf the test connection to check.
If erfolgreich, sehen Sie a pop-up like this:
Klicken Sie auf the next button.
Schritt 5: Add files to be backed up. These files are fetched from Ihrer Seedbox.
Sie können use the filter and exclude rule to set backups for particular files in a folder.
Once done, können Sie klicken Sie auf the next button.
Step 6: Schedule your automated backups
Step 7: Add your preference in the general options and klicken Sie auf Speichern.
Stellen Sie sicher your passphase is verfügbar with you.
Now können Sie sehen that you backup has been create and visible on the home tab.
