What Is SyncThing?<\/h2>\n

SyncThing is an open-source, decentralized file synchronization tool. Unlike BTSync (Resilio), SyncThing is fully open-source with no proprietary components. Files sync directly between your devices via encrypted connections \u2014 no third-party cloud involved.<\/p>\n

  1. Dashboard \u2192 Apps \u2192 SyncThing \u2192 Install<\/li>\n
  2. Open SyncThing web UI (default port: 8384)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Setting Up Sync<\/h2>\n

    On Your Seedbox<\/h3>\n

    1. In SyncThing web UI \u2192 Add Folder<\/li>\n
    2. Folder Path: ~\/downloads\/ (or any folder you want to sync)<\/li>\n
    3. Give it a label (e.g., “Seedbox Downloads”)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      On Your PC<\/h3>\n

      1. Download SyncThing from syncthing.net<\/li>\n
      2. Open the web UI (localhost:8384)<\/li>\n
      3. Add Remote Device \u2192 enter your seedbox’s Device ID (found in Actions \u2192 Show ID)<\/li>\n
      4. Accept the connection on both sides<\/li>\n
      5. Share the folder between devices<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Files now sync automatically in both directions. New downloads on your seedbox appear on your PC within minutes.<\/p>\n
