Open SSH\u00a0 is a connectivity tool for secure remote access to uw seedbox. It is based on SSH protocol. It encrypts your traffic to eliminate eavesdropping, connection hijacking and other cyber security attacks.<\/p>\n

Hoe access uw seedbox using Open SSH on the Windows system.<\/strong>
\nFor accessing uw seedbox using OpenSSH you first need to install OpenSSH on uw seedbox.Let\u2019s look into the installation of Openssh on evoseedbox.<\/p>\n

\n1. Login naar uw klantengebied and search for OpenSSH in de apps section.<\/p>\n

2. Klik op the install knop and once the installation is complete open de app from the installed app section as hieronder getoond.<\/p>\n

You will be able to see a pop-up where your host id and port number which will be used for creating a connection.<\/p>\n

This completes our OpenSSH installation on our Seedbox.To use Openssh on windows we need to first install openssh client on our windows too. This link<\/u><\/a> will guide you how to check if Openssh is installed or not and ook how to install it\u00a0 if not already installed.<\/p>\n

3. Once Openssh client is installed.Open powershell on windows by searching \u2018Power Shell\u2019 in windows apps.<\/p>\n

4. On opening the Power Shell type \u2018ssh\u2019 and hit enter. If Openssh is correctly installed\u00a0 u zult see the openssh usage guide as hieronder getoond.<\/p>\n

5. Now to connect to uw seedbox type ssh command with the gebruikersnaam\u00a0 provided in the FTP detail and hostid(provided in OpenSSH window).<\/p>\n

Following format should be used:
\n\u2018ssh gebruikersnaam@hostid\u00a0 -p\u00a0 port no\u2019<\/p>\n

You will asked to enter wachtwoord which u kunt get from the FTP detail.<\/p>\n

6. After entering the wachtwoord you should be able to use Openssh as hieronder getoond.<\/p>\n

\nUsing Openssh on Ubuntu<\/h3>\n

Similar to Windows , first install openssh on uw seedbox and note the host id and port no as reference for making connection. Now lets try connecting uw seedbox using Openssh on ubuntu system.<\/p>\n

  2. Open terminal op uw system and type following command:<\/li>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u2018sudo apt update \u2018<\/p>\n

    2. Once the above command execution is complete . Type \u2018 sudo apt install openssh-client\u2019 and press enter.<\/p>\n

    Als u face an error as shown in the screenshot above, you need to kill the ongoing process which is using apt.<\/p>\n

    3. Type \u2018 ps aux | grep -i apt\u2019 and press enter which will list all het proces ids which are currently using \u2018apt\u2019.<\/p>\n

    4. Kill het proces using the command \u2018sudo kill <process id>\u2019. After th process has been terminated try again to install openssh client using the same command \u2018sudo apt install openssh-client\u2019<\/p>\n

    5. U kunt now test your installation by creating a connection to uw seedbox as mentioned in the windows openssh connection section. Ex. ssh <gebruikersnaam>@<host id> -p <port no.><\/p>\n
