Duplicati was designed for online backups from scratch. It is not only data efficient but ook handles network issues nicely. E.g. interrupted backups can be resumed and Duplicati tests the content of backups regularly. That way broken backups on corrupt opslag systems can be detected before it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n

Remember when storing data, the rule of 3 applies. Duplicati is a great choice for one of those 3 options.<\/p>\n

When you first open de app, u zult be greeted with this screen. Selecteereer de appropriate answer for your situation.<\/p>\n

The next screen u zult see if you select Yes is below. Set your wachtwoord and adjust any other settings you see fit. I left all the other settings other than the wachtwoord at default. <\/p>\n

Next we need to start backing up our data. Selecteereer add back up, and then configureerer a new back up.<\/p>\n

Now name your back up and add a description if needed. <\/p>\n

Opmerking: at this step, you must enter a passphrase or disable encryption. Otherwise het zal prompt you to do so aan het einde. <\/p>\n

Next u zult select your back up destination op uw EVO server. The folder is your choice, so choose whatever folder is best for your situation. <\/p>\n

Next you moet select the source data you want to back up. It has to be on the EVO server. <\/p>\n

Ensure you tick the box next to the folder or file you want to back up. Clicking the file name will not prompt it to be selected, only highlighted. <\/p>\n

Adjust your schedule to what you think is best for your situation. I used the default settings. <\/p>\n

Finally u kunt adjust these options if you'd like. I used the default settings. U kunt explore the advanced options, but none of them were appropriate for what I wanted to back up. Click save and you are done!<\/p>\n

After you clicked save, u zult be taken back to the home screen and can make more back ups. You will ook see data about your current back up as hieronder getoond. <\/p>\n

In deze handleiding, u zult learn how to create encrypted backups using an app called Duplicati.<\/p>\n

Before we start, make sure you have downloaded de app on uw seedbox.<\/p>\n

Now that Duplicati is successfully added to uw seedbox, it is time to create your first backup.<\/p>\n

Open the duplicati app from you evoseedbox dashboard<\/p>\n

Stap 1: Klik op the Add backup knop<\/p>\n

Stap 2: Selecteereer configureerer a new backup and click on the next knop<\/p>\n

\nStap 3: Name you backup and generate your Passphase.<\/p>\n

Opmerking: <\/strong>keep you passphrase secure as it is the key to decrypt your backup.<\/p>\n

Once you click on generate, a passphrase will appear, note it down somewhere with you and click on the next knop.\n<\/p>\n

Step 4: Selecteereer backup destination. By default it is uw seedbox but yu can find many options in the drop-down menu.<\/p>\n

\nAfter filling in all the required details like path, gebruikersnaam and wachtwoord (beschikbaar in uw klantengebied dashboard) click on the test connection to check.\n<\/p>\n

If successful, u zult see a pop-up like this:<\/p>\n

Klik op the next knop.\n<\/p>\n

Step 5: Add files to be backed up. These files are fetched from uw seedbox.<\/p>\n

U kunt use the filter and exclude rule to set backups for particular files in a folder.<\/p>\n

Once done, u kunt click on the next knop.<\/p>\n

Step 6: Schedule your automated backups <\/p>\n

Step 7: Add your preference in the general options and click on Opslaan.<\/p>\n

Make sure your passphase is beschikbaar with you.<\/p>\n
